The Dharma Initiative film shown in “Orientation” (S2E03) confirmed that Lost is in the science-fiction genre. It’s something the writers had to establish going into this season’s mayhem.

This short flick is probably what happens when you’ve got a lot of time on your hands between classes…

I will say that it’s nice until the end, which makes no narrative sense whatsoever. Still, it’s better than 98% of the mashup videos and Chinese Boys wannabes I’ve seen at that website. Wouldn’t take it as canon.
